DEVELOPMENT AND EDUCATION IN NIGERIA (FEDEN)
CALL FOR APPLICATION TO JOIN LEAD ASSOCIATESHIP
TRAINING PROGRAMME
LEAD Anglophone West Africa is part of LEAD
International, a global non-profit organization with a fast growing network of
over 1600 leaders and professionals in over 80 countries who are inspired
and committed to leadership for a sustainable world. LEAD Anglophone
West Africa is hosted by The Foundation for Environmental Development and
Education in Nigeria (FEDEN), Lagos, Nigeria.
LEAD Associate Phase involves National, Sub-Regional, and Regional Training
which covers 20 days over a 12-month period. On successful completion of
the training, Associates join a global network of LEAD Fellows.
WHO SHOULD APPLY
Prospective applicants to LEAD Anglophone West Africa
Programme should exhibit high degree of commitment to sustainable development,
aged between 25 and 45, in full time employment, computer literate, and resident
in Nigeria, Ghana, Liberia, Sierra Leone or Gambia.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS DEVELOPMENT
LEAD’s training combines knowledge of the most current
environment and development issues with skills including leadership, team
building, negotiation and consensus building, systems thinking,
cross cultural communication, and ethical decision making – all in a
multicultural learning context.
Members of LEAD are drawn from the spheres of business, media, NGOs,
government, and academia. If a candidate is employed, a written commitment
from their employer to release the candidate for the training will be
required. .
TUITION
Details of tuition fees for the National, Sub-Regional, and
Regional Training, will be provided on application. Successful candidates
will, in addition be responsible for travels, subsistence, lodging and other
overhead expenses during the training.
